ORDER INFORMATION

PLACING AN ORDER

All orders processed through www.melbournecakeshop.com.au require payment at the time of purchase in order to confirm the order. Once an order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation email detailing the requests of your order.

If you would like to make any changes to your order, please contact hello@melbournecakeco.com.au. We cannot guarantee that all changes will be accepted. Changes are accepted on a case by case basis.

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED FOR A CAKE ORDER?

All Melbourne Cake Shop desserts (house cake, cupcake and all other desserts) have a minimum notice period which is calculated at checkout. On average, we require a minimum of two days notice for all orders however this may be subject to change without notice. If you require a cake within a shorter time frame, please email hello@melbournecakeshop.com.au and we will endeavour to meet your request (subject to availability).

All custom orders require a minimum of three days notice.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?

All house cakes/desserts available on our website must be paid for in full at the time the order in placed in order to confirm the order. For custom cakes, we require full payment to be made by the date listed on the invoice in order to secure your order.

HOW DOES A CAKE QUOTE WORK?

Once you have completed our custom quote form we will contact you to discuss the options and the pricing. When you are satisfied with the details and the price of the cake you will receive an invoice with the details of your order. We require full payment to be made by the date listed on the invoice in order to secure your order. A copy of the receipt will be sent once payment is confirmed.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

Melbourne Cake Shop is based in Melbourne's inner CBD and offers delivery only and pick up options.

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the delivery location and are subject to change without notice. We offer set delivery prices within a 20km of the Melbourne CBD. At checkout, please complete the delivery date, address and time in order to secure your order. Should you need to make any changes to your delivery details, please hello@melbournecakeshop.com.au with your new details.

Pick up is available from our partner location Sassone Cucina Italiana at 66a River Esplanade, Docklands 3008. Pick up is available free of charge between 10am - 7pm Monday to Sunday. Should you require a pick up time outside of these hours please contact us and we will arrange a custom pick up time.

All cakes/desserts are refrigerated prior to delivery (for health and safety reasons) and to ensure that they remain fresh. Please follow the care instructions supplied with your cake to ensure that your cake/dessert remains fresh and can be enjoyed properly. A failure to follow these instructions and any subsequent issues will fall on the client and not upon Melbourne Cake Shop.

REFUNDS

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not offer refunds, exchanges or credit notes for any orders (all sales are final). 

All of our cakes are inspected throughout the baking process to ensure each cake complies with Health Standards, Food Handling Standards and our own standards of hygiene and quality. We follow strict hygiene procedures and follow COVID-19 safe practices to ensure that we maintain our high hygiene rating.
